NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

Nairobi national park is one of the Kenya’s original parks established in 1948, it features 117sq kms of prime pristine savannah, only 8km away from the Nairobi City Centre and the only protected area in the world with variety of animals and birds close to a capital city as such. It has large population of Giraffe, Wildebeest, Elands, Orphaned Rhinos and Elephants at the Daphne Shedrick’s home and Hippo pool at the south of Athi River, Lions

There are no accommodation facilities in the park but Prihme safaris will be handy to organize from the well developed accommodation facilities in the city of Nairobi.

TSAVO NATIONAL PARK

It covers 20,807 sq Kms.It lies midway between Nairobi and Mombassa.For a safari here on a red Earth, be sure to spot Hippos, Crocodiles, Girrafes, Zebras, Gazelle.The land here is covered by Acacia forest with lots of chattering Birds and Monkeys. Other scenic spots include Ngulia Escarpment with Voi towards the East. Chyulu Hills stands at the west and the outstanding lava cones and flows as at Shitani.

MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK

Mount Kenya lies about 140 km North, North East of Nairobi with its Northern flanks across the Equator. The mountain has two main peaks -Batian (5200m) and Nelion (5188m).The slopes are cloaked in forest, bamboo, scrubs and moorland giving way on the high central peaks to rock, ice and snow. This is a water catchment area that supplies the North Ewaso Ngiro and Tana.

This is where the park is situated and it covers 715km2 and includes the peak consisting of all the ground above 3200m with two small salients extending lower down to 2450m along the Sirimon and Naro Moru tracks. The park is surrounded by Mount Kenya National Reserve covering an area of about 2095km2.A visit to these park will be an opportunity to see major attractions like, Pristine wilderness,lakes,tarns.glaciers and peak of great beuty,geological variety,forest,mineral springs, rare and endangered species of animals among others.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Established as a reserve in 1968 and gazzetted as a national park in 1974.It lies right at the Kenya /Tanzania borders 240 Kms from Nairobi via Namanga through Meshanani gate. It covers 392 sq Kms, with fantastic view of Mt Kilimanjaro capped with snow and Mt Meru.

A visit to Amboseli National park will with no doubt offers you opportunity to spot Flamingos at a seasonal lake, other birds like Malachite kingfisher,Taveta Golden Waver and lots more. It’s also a home Elephants, Giraffes’, Rhino, Zebras, Wildebeest, Cheetah, Baboon, Velvet Monkeys and Grants Gazelles.
